Solo Lawyer and AI

I am a private lawyer. No secretaries, interns or assistants. And yet I can handle volumes I couldn’t handle before. Everything changed when I started using legal ai tools. I used to be afraid to take on cases with a lot of documents — I just didn’t have enough time to analyze them. Now, a good AI can analyze dozens of pages in minutes and even suggest response formulations.

I regularly check the Legal AI Rankings to find new tools or test out updates. Some platforms are surprisingly good at niche tasks: Briefpoint is great at automating Discovery, for example, and Spellbook helps with NDA editing.

Using the best legal AI doesn’t make me lazy — it makes me productive. I can focus on what really matters: client communications, strategy, negotiations. It’s a fair way to scale on my own and be on par with law firms with dozens of employees.
